Typically scheduled on the last Saturday of the year, Oshougatsu is held during JCSM’s General Membership meeting. For a minimal fee, you can participate in the traditional pounding of mochi and enjoy the mochi afterwards with select ingredients you can stuff inside. Attendees enjoy ozoni (New Year’s soup), prepared fresh in the kitchen to accompany your bento dinner.

Organizers have games and trivia, and give away fukubiki for lucky attendees.
