Guest instructor: Keiko Maeda
Keiko lives in Aomori, Japan and is currently visiting family on Maui. She typically teaches nuno zori classes to local senior centers and cultural events in Aomori.
Nuno zori, or cloth slippers, is the art of putting strips of fabric together into comfortable slippers. With varying styles and designs, the crafty activity also helps upcycle used material, such as old T-shirts.
Keiko's nuno zori are very comfortable and durable. We hope you can learn how so you can make them at home!
