Join JCSM and Kahului Jodo Mission for a fun and creative workshop to celebrate Girls' Day (ひな祭り) by making beautiful Kimono Doll Cards! Guided by instructor Liane Koga, you'll learn how to craft these elegant cards using colorful origami paper and other decorative materials. Perfect as keepsakes or gifts, these cards highlight the charm of traditional Japanese design while offering a modern touch. All materials are included, so just bring your creativity and enjoy an afternoon of hands-on fun. Reserve your spot now and create something truly special!

Liane Koga
Instructor

Liane was born and raised on Maui, lived on Oahu for 28 years.  She graduated from and worked at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She later retired from UH Maui College after 30 years of service with the state.

Liane has been making Japanese doll cards for around 30 years and recently started making origami dress cards. She enjoys dancing hula, playing ukulele, and lei making. Liane occasionally travels, most memorably to Africa and Russia. Her favorite destination is Japan.
